Barbara Holmes is the Director and is supported by a number of experienced consultants.
About - Barbara Holmes - Managing Director
Barbara has over 25 years experience as a Human Resources Consultant, specialising in Organisational Change and Employee Involvement programs.
Barbara received her training and education in the UK and early experience as a consultant was gained at The Industrial Society UK (now the Work Foundation) where she became Manager of the Leadership Division, focusing on leadership training and development. Since arriving in Australia, she has worked for PWC (formerly Coopers and Lybrand) and DDI International as a consultant and account manager, facilitating organisational change projects, the implementation of training strategies, performance management programs and personal development workshops.
The consultancy Managing Work|Life Balance International was established in 1990 which was one of the first to focus specifically on work/life issues in the workplace.
Barbara was one of the originators of the AFR/BCA (now ACCI) Work and Family Awards, and during the last 15 years she has had a high percentage of her clients gain recognition of their achievements as either Gold Award winners or finalists. She has also been a judge for the Diversity Awards and Australian Human Resources Awards.
During 2007 Barbara conducted the 10th Annual Work / Life Initiatives - The Way Ahead benchmarking study which is the only longitudinal research of its type in Australia. The findings of this research are regularly reported in The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald, BRW. Human Resources Magazine and the CCH Human Resources Journal. This study was initiated and developed by Barbara and has received local and international recognition for the data it has produced over the 10 years.
She is the project leader and 'hands on consultant' for many of Managing Work|Life Balance's projects conducted in Australia and overseas.
In conjunction with PartTime Online Barbara has designed and established the Flexible Employer Accreditation program, she is conducting the majority of the accreditation assesments. Barbara has also written:-

She has been invited to speak at work/life events and conferences in Malaya, Singapore, New Zealand, The USA and England as well appearing on national television, including the Sunrise Show (Channel 7) and The Life Matters program on ABC radio.
