Internal Review, Assessment and Evaluation

The demands of managing work/life responsibilities can impact significantly on the productivity of a business and its employees

Balancing these sometimes conflicting interests can affect employees' ability to contribute effectively and may result in increased absenteeism and staff turnover. For business, this means the quality and delivery of products and services is threatened.

To maintain a competitive advantage and to attract and retain the best people, a long-term strategy is required. Organisations need to assess the costs to their business of failure to manage work/life issues. They need to identify and respond to business and employee needs and, importantly, evaluate the success of action taken. To do this an organisation needs statistically valid data.

Managing Work | Life Balance International provides a wide-ranging research service including comprehensive work/life audits that quantify and qualify your organisation's work/life issues. Audits highlight challenges, successes to date and areas requiring improvement. Our expertise is based upon both local and international research, as well as our experience with many of Australia's Top 100 companies.

The results of the assessment provide your organisation with quantitative and qualitative data to develop a detailed work plan to address the needs identified. Importantly, the data can then be used as a benchmark to evaluate the success of policies and programs implemented.

Evaluation. If a work/life strategy is to be responsive to the needs of staff, the business and managers then it needs to be updated on a regular basis and evaluated to ensure that there is a return on investment. In addition, the quality and value of programs such as EAP Services, Health and Wellbeing programs etc need to be consistently monitored and evaluated. We have had extensive experience in facilitating evaluation processes that allow you to focus your efforts in areas that are appropriate for current organisational needs.
